Some thoughts

I just randomly realized this weekend that when it comes to working out (and healthy diet..) my biggest problem is that I’ll easily let myself to get carried away by distractions.

I may start with a good pace and follow my plan for a week or two with no problem but if something sudden comes up then everything’s just collapses and I have to start all over again.

Isn’t that annoying? I know I’m not the only one who struggles with this and I know that the only thing I need is more willpower. My pt gave me a training program to do once a week at the gym and by the experience of today it’ll definitely help me to improve my strenght of will. All I have to say about the program itself is that I fucking hate burpees. But it needs to be done so I’d better quit whining :)

I’m glad I’ve got my workouts back to the routine this week. And I’d better keep it up. It was a rather embarrasing this Monday when I tried to explain to my personal trainer why I haven’t gotten to workout lately. He didn’t say anything but I could tell by the looks of his face what he was thinking: E X C U S E S.
And I know that’s what they were. And still are. Excuses. Too busy, too sore, too tired, too crabby, too stressed out…
So this week I’ve followed the plan that my pt expects me to do. I’m supposed to do 4 intense, sweaty workouts a week + something less intense (jogging, streching, horseback riding..) couple of times a week. I had my 3rd tough workout today. 4th is coming up on Sunday. My rest days this week are Thursday and Saturday. The days vary because my work schedule is tricky that way (a fact!)
But the absolutely best thing about this week is that I feel great. I must not loose this good spirit that I have right now!
